विश्वमा कतै पनि महिला सुरक्षित छैनन्

संसारमा 50% भन्दा बढी महिलाहरू छन्। तर विश्वमा कतै पनि महिला सुरक्षित छैनन् । उनीहरुको घर, विद्यालय, बजार जेलमा समेत दिनहुँ बलात्कार भइरहेका छन् ।  अनुमानित 80 करोड महिलाहरू - लगभग तीन मध्ये एक - शारीरिक र/वा यौन घनिष्ठ साझेदार हिंसा, गैर-साझेदार यौन हिंसा, वा उनीहरूको जीवनमा कम्तिमा एक पटक (30 प्रतिशत महिलाहरू 15 र माथिका) शिकार भएका छन्।

राजविराज कारागारमा बन्दी जिवन बिताइरहेकी एक महिला कैदीलाई बलात्कार गरेको आरोप लागेका सोही कारागारका कर्मचारी बिरुद्ध अदालतले पक्राउ पूर्जी जारि गरेको छ । राजविराज ८ निवासी चन्दन भनिने चन्द्रनारायण यादवबिरुद्ध सप्तरी जिल्ला अदालतले आइतबार पक्राउ पुर्जी जारि गरेको हो । ३० वर्षि यादव राजविराज कारागारका कार्यालय सहयोगि हुन् । विगत १७ वर्षदेखी करार सेवामा कार्यरत यादवविरुद्ध पक्राउ पूर्जी जारि भएसँगै उनको करार सम्झौता रद्द गरिएको जेलर प्रविण कुमार अधिकारीले जानकारी दिए ।

हरियाणाको फरीदाबादमा एक बाबुले आफ्ना दुई नाबालिग छोरीलाई बलात्कार गरेको घटना सार्वजनिक भएको छ । अभियुक्तलाई प्रहरीले पक्राउ गरेको छ । आरोपितकी श्रीमतीले एसजीएम नगर प्रहरी चौकीमा  उजुरीका आधारमा आरोपितविरुद्ध जबरजस्ती करणीको मुद्दा दर्ता गरिएको हो । यो डरलाग्दो घटना  एसजीएम नगर पुलिस स्टेशनमा दर्ता भएको थियो। अभियुक्तले आफ्नो अपराध स्वीकार गरेको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ । 

संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका एउटा हाई स्कूलमा  रातमा बलात्कार भएको थियो, जब एक हाई स्कूल केटी, रक्सीले असक्षम थिहिन। उनकै साथीहरुले पालै पालो बलात्कार गरेर, बलात्कार गरेको फोटो हरु सामाजिक संजाल मा राखेका थिए।   उनलाई अन्य विद्यार्थीहरूको औंलाहरू (डिजिटल प्रवेश) द्वारा योनिमा घुसाइएको थियो। पीडितलाई अस्पताल लगीयो र यौन दुर्व्यवहार  फोटो खिचियो। यो केशमा ५ जना बिद्द्यार्थी समातिए भने स्कुल प्रसाशक समेत केशमा मुछिएका थिए।  

प्रदूषण के मामले में भारत से बराबरी कर रहा है पाकिस्तान!

 

पाकिस्तान के लाहौर शहर और भारत के नई दिल्ली में लगातार प्रदूषण बढ़ने के बाद वायु प्रदूषण की स्थिति गंभीर स्तर पर पहुंच गई है. सोमवार को लाहौर का गुणवत्ता सूचकांक 485 AQI था, जबकि नई दिल्ली का AQI 437 था, जो प्रदूषण का गंभीर स्तर है। 

भारत की राष्ट्रीय राजधानी दिल्ली समेत उत्तर प्रदेश, हरियाणा और राजस्थान के पांच प्रमुख शहरों में वायु गुणवत्ता सूचकांक 300 से अधिक हो गया है। सबसे खराब स्थिति दिल्ली की है, जहां सोमवार सुबह औसत वायु गुणवत्ता 400 के पार पहुंच गई है.

Tihar in Nepal

 In Nepal, Deepawali (called Tihar or Yamapanchak) is a unique and vibrant festival, celebrated over five days with distinct customs that blend reverence for nature, animals, and familial bonds. Here’s how Tihar is celebrated in Nepal:

First Day: Kaag Tihar (Worship of Crows)

Diwali, the festival of lights, is one of the most celebrated festivals in India, marked by a wide array of vibrant customs and traditions. Here’s a glimpse into how Diwali is celebrated across India:

Cleaning and Decorating the Home

• People start preparing days in advance by thoroughly cleaning, renovating, and decorating their homes. It’s believed that a clean and well-lit home invites the goddess Lakshmi, the deity of wealth and prosperity.
• Homes are adorned with colorful rangoli (artistic designs made with colored powders or flower petals) at the entrance, and beautiful torans (decorative garlands) are hung on doors.

Lighting Lamps and Candles

• Diwali is also called the “Festival of Lights.” People light up their homes with diyas (oil lamps), candles, and fairy lights, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil.

Worship (Puja) of Deities

• Lakshmi Puja is central to Diwali celebrations. Families gather to pray to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha, seeking blessings for wealth, prosperity, and happiness.
• After the puja, it’s common to distribute offerings as prasad (food blessed in the ritual) among family and friends.

Divali a Festival of Light

Festival of Light for Hindus is celebrated primarily by offering light for prosperity. Based on the language, it is called Divali, Deepawali, Tihar or Deepavali but moreover it is the celebration
and players with fireworks and feast. This is how this festival is celebrated in the different parts of the world.

Diwali is celebrated widely across South Asia and in many parts of the world where Indian and South Asian communities reside. Here are some of the main places where Diwali is celebrated:

India

• As the country where Diwali originated, India celebrates it extensively across all states, although customs and traditions may vary regionally. Diwali is a major public holiday, with vibrant festivities, family gatherings, and community events.

Nepal

• Known as Tihar in Nepal, Diwali celebrations are unique, honoring not only lights and prosperity but also animals like crows, dogs, and cows. Nepalese people perform special rituals over five days, with each day dedicated to specific animals, gods, or familial bonds.

Sri Lanka

हामी ती ठाउँहरूमा सडक जोड्न चाहन्छौं। हिमालयबाट आउने खोलामाथि पुल राख्न चाहन्छौं ।

हामी हाम्रो गाउँलाई माया गर्छौं, हामी हाम्रो गाउँ पुग्न सहज होस् भन्ने  चाहन्छौं। तर कसरी?

पहाडहरू धेरै ठूला छन्। तिनीहरू अस्थिर छन्। हामीले बनाएका सडक पहाडको  तुलनामा धेरै साना छन्, पहाड अलिकति एता उता भए पनि सडक भत्किन्छ । एउटै ढुङ्गाले सडकमा दौडिरहेको सवारीलाई नष्ट गर्न सक्छ। पुल निर्माण गर्न महिनौं वा वर्ष लाग्छ तर उही पुललाई नदीले एक मिनेटमा बगाउन सकिन्छ। 

यसै त एती गाह्रो छ कि यो दुई विशाल देशहरू बीचमा  छ। भूगोल पनि हाम्रोमा कठिन  छ।

हामीलाई गाउँ जोड्न आवश्यक छ, हामीलाई सडक चाहिन्छ, हामीलाई धेरै पूर्वाधार चाहिन्छ तर हामी सचेत हुन आवश्यक छ हाम्रो विकास हाम्रो भूगोल अनुसार हुनुपर्छ। यदि हामी प्रकोपबाट प्रभावित हुन्छौं भने, हामीले सजिलो र छिटो तरिकाले समस्याको समाधान ल्याउनु पर्छ।  

Bijaya Dashami: History and Significance

 Dashain, also known as Dashami,Vijayadashami or Dussehra, is one of the most significant festivals in Nepal, celebrated by Hindus across the country and in some regions of India and Bhutan. In India, it's particularly prominent in states like West Bengal, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. This festival typically spans 15 days, culminating in the main celebration on the day of Dashami.

Dashain commemorates the victory of the goddess Durga over the buffalo demon Mahishasura, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. Nepal Flooding affecting big cities

Hundreds of people have died in various disasters such as floods and landslides in different parts of Nepal since last week.

Flooding and landslides caused by continuous rainfall have killed so many people in the country while hundreds are still missing.

Rain began pouring down for two days, with low-lying neighborhoods in Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu, inundated by surging floodwaters.

The Kathmandu valley recorded 9.4 inches of rain in the 24 hours, it was the highest rainfall recorded in the capital since at least 1970.

Several roads and major highways were blocked by landslides triggered by the rainfall. Travels are either banned or discouraged due to the bad road conditions.

Many houses were flooded in Kathmandu and some houses close to rivers even swept away.

Mamta Kafle Bhatt a Nepali Mother in Virginia America is Still Missing

 

September 20 update: Judge heard arguments for nearly three hours on Friday before she ruled there was “overwhelming evidence” to consider Naresh Bhatt a flight risk and danger to the community and denied bond. The judge cited new evidence presented by the Commonwealth for her decision, which included surveillance videos capturing Naresh Bhatt disposing multiple bags from his car between July 30 and 31, at times wearing white gloves, at various dump sites and trash compactors, one being at his child’s babysitter’s apartment in Manassas. 

Mamta Kafle Bhatta Missing Case Timeline:

• December 2020: Mamta married to Naresh.
• July 29, 2021: Mamta moved to US
• August 20, 2023: Mamta had her daughter.
• February 2023: Police summoned to the Bhatt residence over allegations of disorderly conduct. Mamta told officers Naresh wouldn't give her documents and destroyed her phone.
• April 2023: Naresh did a Google search on his work computer asking how long does it take to get married after spouse dies.
• July 24, 2023: Mamta spoke with her childhood friend and mentioned her trouble marriage.
• July 27, 2024 8:17 p.m.: Mamta is last seen at UVA Prince William Medical Center in Manassas, where she worked as a nurse. She entered an unknown black car after canceling an Uber ride.
• July 28, 2024: Mamta posts a final video on her TikTok account alongside her daughter.
• July 29 Evening: The date of Mamta Bhatt’s final video call with her mother, to whom she habitually spoke twice a day. Her mom said Mamta's face was gloomy which is unusual of her. She never called her mom after that.
• July 30, 4:13 a.m.: Bhatt performs a Google search for “Diagram of brain” and at 4:30 a.m., looks up “Chicken farm near me.”
• July 30, 5:40 a.m.: Naresh Bhatt sends the Bhatts’ babysitter, Amanda, a text.
• July 30, 6:30 a.m.: Bhatt drops off the couple’s daughter, Neema, at the babysitter’s apartment at Clark Place in Manassas.
• July 30, 6:40 a.m.: Bhatt is seen on camera dropping several plastic and trash bags into a dumpster at the apartment complex.
• July 30, 8:12 a.m: Bhatt goes shopping at Home Depot purchasing rubber ice gloves.
• July 30, 8:21 a.m Bhatt was seen at Walmart, buying 3 knives 2 are missing, carpet cleaner, wipes and air freshners. 
• July 30, 5:22 p.m: Bhatt was seen buying extra strong trash bags at Home Depot.
• July 30 and July 31: Bhatt is seen on camera discarding bags at various dumpsters.
• July 31, 1:30 a.m.: Bhatt is captured on video in Falls Church retrieving bags from his Tesla and putting them into a trash compactor. His Tesla tracks him to that location, but his phone is inactive and not on his person at that time.
• July 31, 5:30 p.m.: Bhatt disposes of more items in the same dumpster at the babysitter’s apartment complex.
• July 31, 7 p.m.: Bhatt returns to the apartment complex to pick up Neema. The babysitter later tells police that Bhatt “was nervous and kept looking around,” Sami said.
• Between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. on July 31, over 150 gallons of water are consumed by the Bhatt residence – a far cry from the typical 3-4 gallons per hour.
• Aug. 1: Mamta did not show up for work at UVA Health Prince William Medical Center on August 1. Her work friend called police for welfare check. Naresh Bhatt’s phone is off with no activity, but Mamta Bhatt’s phone sends out a signal from Loudoun County. That day, Naresh Bhatt goes to eat at a Liberty gas station, walks back to his Tesla “with a visible limp,” , grabs some bags at his car, and walks over to a clothing donation bin – where police later find a bag with a white bath mat featuring light pink and reddish-brown staining that tests positive for blood.
• After Aug. 1: In addition to missing Neema’s first birthday on Aug. 20, Mamta Bhatt also misses her final United States Citizenship and Immigration Services appointment to become a U.S. citizen.
• Sometime after Aug. 2: Naresh Bhatt asks the downstairs tenants in the Bhatt residence to help him move the bed in his bedroom. 
• Aug. 2, 2024: Police conduct a welfare check at the Bhatt residence. Naresh Bhatt tells officers they are separating, Mamta got her green card and now she is running away, destroyed her phone, she is visiting one of her sister in New York or Texas.Bhatt said he saw her last time on evening of July 31.
• Aug. 4, 2024: Naresh Bhatt sends a text message to the same police officer who conducted the welfare check on Aug. 2. The officer responds a day later, on Aug. 5, and Mamta Bhatt is officially listed as a missing person.
• Aug. 8, 2024: Manassas Park police change the status of the Mamta Bhatt case to "involuntarily missing."
• Aug. 5, 2024: Naresh Bhatt changes his story, saying Mamta had destroyed her own phone, according to prosecutors.
• Aug. 6, 2024: Naresh tells investigators that Mamta’s clothes, passport, and green card are all missing. He still claims he last saw her on July 31, according to court testimony.
• Aug. 15, 2024: Naresh tells Manassas Park that he is preparing to send Neema to Nepal, prosecutors said.

रिपब्लिकन राष्ट्रपति पदका उम्मेदवार आफ्नो जीवनमा हत्याको  प्रयासबाट बाँचेको नौ हप्ता पछि आइतवार  उनको फ्लोरिडाको वेस्ट पाम बीचमा रहेको गोल्फ क्लबमा अर्को   हत्याको प्रयास बाट बचेका  छन् , पूर्व राष्ट्रपतिले आफू सकुशल रहेको बताए ।

पाम बीच काउन्टी शेरिफ रिक ब्राडशाले भने, अमेरिकी गोप्य सेवा एजेन्टहरूले एक एके-शैलीको राइफल र  स्कोपको साथ भएका एक व्यक्तिलाई गोली हान्यो जब ट्रम्प नजिकै गल्फ खेल्दै  थिए। ब्राडशाले भने कि बन्दुकधारीसँग बारमा दुईवटा ब्याकप्याक र एउटा GoPro क्यामेरा झुण्डिएको थियो, र उनी ट्रम्पबाट करिब 400 गजदेखि 500 ​​गज टाढा थिए र झाँगमा लुकेका थिए जबकि पूर्व राष्ट्रपतिले नजिकै गल्फ खेलिरहेका थिए। उक्त व्यक्तिले हतियार छोड्यो र एसयूभीमा भाग्यो, र पछि छिमेकी काउन्टीमा हिरासतमा लिइयो।

Punishment for being overweight!

How much you get charged for being overweight? We always pay one way or other for being overweight either by wealth or health. But Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat paid a possibility of Olympic gold medal for being just less than a pound being overweight. It  is actually just 100 grams, less than 1 pau. 

India’s star wrestler Vinesh Phogat has been disqualified from the Paris Olympics on the morning of her gold medal fight after coming in overweight, officials said.

Phogat was slated to lock horns with Sarah Hildebrandt of the US later on Wednesday after defeating Cuba’s Yusneylys Guzmán in the 50kg semifinal.

Phogat was about 2kg overweight on Tuesday night. She made a desperate bid to make weight by jogging, skipping and cycling through the night. But at a weigh-in in the morning she was still 100 grams over, the daily reported. This tells losing weight is a challenge.

This means Phogat, who was assured a silver medal at least, will not be eligible for a medal. She will also be ranked last under the rules, missing the chance to become the first Indian wrestler to win an Olympics gold.

Disasters as Global Concerns with Local Interventions

 

A disaster shifts geography, people, and culture. It also initiates movement in space, causes various networks to form, and creates a local space for global stakeholders to act. Different types of networked communications begin to occur. Daniel Aldrich defines a disaster as “an event that suspends normal activities and threatens or causes severe, communitywide damage” . Indeed, larger-scale crises create disruptions in normalcy by causing threats to living entities’ well-being and natural or infrastructural damages. The United Nations Office of Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) defines a disaster as “a serious disruption of the functioning of a community or a society at any scale due to hazardous events interacting with conditions of exposure, vulnerability and capacity, leading to one or more of the following: human, material, economic and environmental losses and impacts” (“Disaster”). Therefore, disasters are events that have extreme, largescale impacts that affect a great number of lives. They can have a multidimensional effect that requires the involvement of national, local and international entities to address the aftermath. So, disasters disrupt people’s normal lives, but they also bring local people together to form various communities both in online and offline spaces via public discourses on the web, collective interactions in transcultural ways, and through the sharing of the affective sentiment. As such, the discourses of local catastrophic disasters transcend boundaries as these disasters become a global concern.

How do you rescue a person from Mount Everest?

Mount Everest, the height place on earth. What happens if you get stuck there? 

Well there is no road or airport. If you are immbackpackobalized, only way to get you back is on somebody's back. Just like a back pack, a person has to be carried down the the base camp for further help.

Here is one example how a Malaysian climber got rescued from Mount Everest. 

A Malaysian climber narrowly survived after a Nepali sherpa guide hauled him down from below the summit of Mount Everest in a "very rare" high altitude rescue, a government official said on Wednesday. Gelje Sherpa, 30, was guiding a Chinese client to the 8,849 metre (29,032 feet) Everest summit on May 18 when he saw the Malaysian climber clinging to a rope and shivering from extreme cold in the area called the "death zone," where temperatures can dip to minus 30 degrees Celsius (86F) or lower.

Why climb Mount Everest? “Because it’s there,” George Mallory famously said. Then he died trying.

A century on, Mallory is best remembered for those three koanlike words. As Mick Conefrey writes in “Fallen: George Mallory and the Tragic 1924 Everest Expedition,” they are “both the simplest and the most enigmatic explanation of the lure of high mountains.”

Alas, Everest, highest of them all, is less enigmatic and arguably less alluring these days. Since Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay logged the first successful ascent in 1953, it has been summited more than 12,000 times by upward of 6,500 different people. Every spring the Nepali army removes several tons of trash from this high-elevation tourist attraction. The human-waste problem has gotten so bad that, as of this year, visitors are required to pack their poop and take it with them.

The Everest that Mallory explored in the 1920s had less excrement and more romance. The climbing equipment was rudimentary: the flax ropes were as threads compared to modern nylon ones, and the wool clothing and hobnail boots were more cumbersome and far less effective than modern goose down and crampons. Mr. Conefrey, a documentary filmmaker who has written several books about Himalayan mountaineering history, also notes another major difference between then and now: Mallory and his peers “took risks that many of today’s climbers would find unacceptable.”

Kangaroos fight like boxers

Kangaroos are marsupials from the family Macropodidae. Kangaroos are indigenous to Australia and New Guinea. Kangaroos have large, powerful hind legs, large feet adapted for leaping, a long muscular tail for balance, and a small head. Like most marsupials, female kangaroos have a pouch called a marsupium in which joeys complete postnatal development. Kangaroos are the only large mammals to use hopping on two legs as their primary means of locomotion. The comfortable hopping speed for a red kangaroo is about 20–25 km/h (12–16 mph), but speeds of up to 70 km/h (43 mph)  can be attained over short distances, while it can sustain a speed of 40 km/h (25 mph) for nearly 2 km (1.2 mi).

Because of their hopping body structure, their fight looks similar to human fight, pouncing and kicking. Fighting has been described in all species of kangaroos. Fights between kangaroos can be brief or long and ritualised. In highly competitive situations, such as males fighting for access to oestrous females or at limited drinking spots,  the fights are brief. Both sexes will fight for drinking spots, but long, ritualised fighting or "boxing" is largely done by males. Smaller males fight more often near females in oestrus, while the large males in consorts do not seem to get involved. Ritualised fights can arise suddenly  when males are grazing together. However, most fights are preceded by two males scratching and grooming each other. 

Like a street fight, these two kangaroos got into street fight and showed their coolest moves. One move requires tail standing. Even it can fight with a human. No wonder they behave like bipedal human.

Mount Everest is turning into the garbage dumping site

Mount Everest  (सगरमाथा) the tallest mountain in the world is in Nepal. Its official elevation (snow height) is 8,848.86 meters (29,031.7 feet).

There are two main climbing routes: Southeast Ridge (Nepal): Known as the “standard route,” it approaches the summit from the southeast in Nepal.

North Ridge (Tibet): This route approaches the summit from the north in Tibet.

Climbing to the top  is one of the greatest challenges on Earth. 

But climbers are now creating an even bigger challenge for those who have to clean up after them as Mount Everest risks becoming the world's highest garbage dump.   

Experts estimate that there could be as much as 50 tonnes of rubbish left on the mountain, while Everest Base Camp churns out 75 tonnes of garbage every season.

West problem has reached the epic of the problem now climbers ascending Mount Everest will be expected to collect their poop in doggy bags and carry their waste back to base camp, according to new regulations from local officials as they attempt to address a long-festering littering problem on the world’s tallest peak. Now, climbers will be given the bags at base camp and expected to carry the bags back down at the end of the journey. Now we hope this will end the Mount Everest Stinking Problem!
